Freedom
So I remember telling my boyfriend that I would find ways to express myself again. When I was muuuuch younger I used to write poetry, sing my own country music [good times! :)] & sketch & make stuff out of my old clothes [which vexed my mom.. lol] & toy with recipes.. I didn’t realize how much my brain needs stimulation outside of my schooling until I rediscovered my love for leisure reading [Goosebumps was my .ish!] I’m now a fan of Roberta Hill, Audre Lorde, Ishmael Reed.. the list goes on..
Sooooo.. I’ve said all of that to say, I’m going to start painting! :) I need a new creative outlet & I want it to be something that I can share with you. I still write at whim, but mostly just mapping out my life’s goals, business plans and things of that nature. I’ve been in need of something external, fresh, tangible.. So starting tomorrow [technically today.. lol.. let’s just say after a good night’s rest], I’m going to PAINT. I’ll be sure to share my work with all of you. I hope you enjoy as much as I will! Maybe I can sell them for some big bucks.. :) lol
